Carelift Zoom Boom Eugene

Carelift Zoom Boom Eugene

Rough terrain forklifts have been produced by CareLift Equipment, since the year 1962. Each and every day the company strives to deliver value and help all their customers reach their objectives as they know the bottom line is performance and reliability.

There are 2 general types of boom lifts. These models are articulated boom lifts and straight boom lifts. Often, these models are hydraulically powered. Most often straight booms are the ideal option for jobs which require a high reach with no obstructions. The turntable on the equipment is capable of rotating three hundred sixty degrees with an extendable boom. This extendable boom can be vertically raised to below horizontal. Because the operator is able to steer and maneuver the vehicle while the boom is completely extended, it is a very versatile machinery. These units come in 4 wheel drive and 2 wheel drive, as well as propane, gas or diesel configurations.

The articulated boom lifts are used for tasks which need to reach up and over obstacles so as to gain access. These specialized lifts are utilized for tasks which are not easily completed by straight telescopic booms. These lifts are practically like the straight boom lift in most aspects except in the ability of the boom to articulate. There are different articulation points on the boom in order to enable it to bend in a range of different directions allowing it to easily move around any objects in the work site.

In order to maintain stability while the boom lift is fully extended, some heavy-duty boom lifts come equipped with outriggers. The outriggers provide the operator with some extra safety and confidence. Correct training is required before using boom lifts in order to ensure the operator, the jobsite and everyone working in the vicinity stays safe.

Boom lifts enable tasks that used to require a lot more man hours to be carried out in a much shorter time period. These machines have really increased productivity and have revolutionized the material handling business.
