Genie telescopic S-booms have a horizontal reach of between 9.65 meters and 24.38 meters and working heights of 14.20 meters to 40.15 meters. Compared with various other aerial work platforms, telescoping booms have a much greater range of horizontal reach. Genie telescopic booms are engineered with consideration to being able to access tight areas during industrial and construction applications. They are also known for their ability to quickly maneuver through a job site with great drive speed and traction. The platform turns 160° hydraulically and can stay level through the whole range. Front-entry platforms come with 227 kilogram to 272 kilogram capacity for tools and operators and are available from 1.83 meters to 2.44 meters. Continuous, 360° rotating turntables provide easy, quick positioning for operators.
The Z-135/70 unit has a telescoping jib, known as the Jib-Extend, that goes from 3.66 meters to 6.1 meters. This particular unit can also reach 110° vertically to give the user the ability to reach tasks which were unreachable by traditional jibs before. The Z-80/60 unit's secondary reverse-articulating boom gives the user 8.83 meters of up and over reach. This feature enables over and up reaching tasks to be done with zero front arm swing.
Genie also offers the Fast Mast system which allows for valuable time to be saved when both secondary and primary booms have to be lifted or for lowering the platform without having to lower the secondary boom. The Fast Mast system allows both booms to be fully elevated simultaneously. Both of these features of the Genie Fast Mast system reduces the time required for users to ascend and descend, increasing both efficiency and production.
