Articulating Booms - Electric and Bi-Energy
Terex provides Bi-Energy and Genie DC machinery that are emission-free and provide quiet operation for the most sensitive work applications. For instance, in industrial settings where the machine has to travel significant distances, the Genie bi-energy system combines the versatility and advantages of a diesel fueled generator using a 48 Volt DC equipment.
Some of the key features offered by this combination include over, out and up positioning capabilities for complete versatility. What's more, the zero tail-swing offered by most units, combined with the tight turning radius provides easy maneuvering through narrow aisles and standard doors.
The drive and proportional controls offer the machine with smooth drive performance and precise boom positioning. For emission free and quiet operation suitable for sensitive environments, there is a 48V DC electric drive system. There are jib boom models on the market to function with an extra working range for particular tasks. On non-jib models, there is a self-leveling platform which rotates 90 degrees to either side.
Articulating Booms - Diesel Engine
Genie machinery by Terex are great for both indoor and outdoor construction applications. This model offers engine-powered articulating Z booms that combine up, out and over positioning capabilities and extreme lifting versatility overall. The outreach provided by this type is the best in the market.
The diesel engines with articulating booms provide zero tail-swing on the majority of models and have a tight turning radius. These machines are ideal for maneuvering in confined locations. Furthermore, they provide exceptional torque, terrain and grade maneuverability and utmost power. The diesel engines are generally quiet too. The majority of models have full time drive positive drive traction system and active oscillating axle to offer great flexibility on surfaces that are uneven and rough.
High ground clearance is offered in 2 or 4 wheel drive models, whilst the rough terrain models are desirable for any company's fleet. The jib boom types are available and offer extra range capabilities. On non-jib models, the self-leveling platform also rotates to ninety degrees on these models too.
